 This braided leather handbag has a circle applique on the flap. The western style of leather braiding used to construct this handbag is unique and very durable. The bag has a large pocket on the back inside of it, and a long shoulder strap. The bag measures about 11" by 9.5" by 3". The applique braid that it is constructed with is called the 'S' applique braid. The strong, durable leather used for it is 4 oz. moccasin cowhide. On my swatch card page you can see the colors that it can be made with. The cost of a bag like pictured, with the circle applique, is $340. 

This handmade purse is made with 4 oz. moccasin cowhide leather. It is completely constructed with braiding using 1/4" wide laces out of that same leather. It has a long wide strap, a circle applique on the front, and a full width pocket on the inside/back of it. Leather, made in the USA, is the only material used for this purse.

Another braided leather handbag with a cicle applique on the flap. The one is made with my Mahogany colored leather. It has a full width pocket on the inside/back of it.
 Below is another picture of this same handbag. Keep in mind that all of the pictures on my web site are of new products. I say that because, while they are made of soft leather, in the pictures they look rather stiff. In particular, I am speaking of the strap on this bag when I say that. With use, in a short time they become very supple, but, are quite durable.

This picture shows the usual three ways that I build these braided leather handbags. One has a braided circle on the flap, another has a butterfly braided on the flap, and the third one has a plain flap. All of these bags' seams, flap edges, and appliques are braided using 1/4" wide laces of the same leather the bag is made.
  Here are the three different ways I generally build these braided leather handbags - with a circle applique, with a butterfly applique, or a plain flap. Each has a large (full width) inside back pocket and a long strap that can be custom made to any length.
