western motorcycle vest built with braided leather

The seams, edges, yokes, and pockets of this vest are all constructed with the braiding of black, top quality, full grain moccasin cowhide that is tanned in the USA. The 1/4" wide laces were cut from the same leather that the vest parts are cut from.
This vest also has (what I call) a draft flap - the 3" extension of it's back/bottom. These extensions have become quite popular ...and, I've now done them with several different curves - you can see more of the others on my vest's home page
This vest, and others, have (what I call) a 'panel pocket'. It's a big pocket that spans across the whole bottom of each front panel. I had a request for one and I've since learned from others how much they like them.
And, this vest was built rather long by request. I request a chest measurement and a length measurement for each vest that I build. I will offer instructions about how to do that.

Over the last 40 years, I've custom built hundreds of vests. You can see over 50 of them on my vest's home page. While they are all braided, that's pretty much where their similarities end. After seeing the many features I offer, folks contact me with their own ideas/designs and we discuss how I should build one for them. Each vest ends up truly being a unique, handmade, long lasting, one of a kind piece.

Sometimes, I just like to take pictures of things without their closures / snaps.
This braided motorcycle vest has slanted front yokes, a pointed back yoke, patch hip pockets with flaps, two sets of 'trick braid' leather snap closures, and a curved 3" back/bottom draft flap. This vest also has four more pockets that you can't see in this picture.
This is a picture of the back of the vest that better shows its yoke and the 3" curved draft flap.
A better view of the front slanted yoke that this vest has.
A close up view of the patch hip pocket. The vest also has inside pockets using the same braiding as this outside one uses.
Here's a picture of the vest laying on a table with one of the front panels folded over.
Another very similar picture of the vest laid out on a table showing a better view of the curve the bottom has. I've built these draft flaps with severaldifferent curves to them ...what the buyers have requested.
Here is a picture of what I call my panel pockets. With this vest, the panel pocket is covering up the inside patch hip pocket. Therefore, what I'm saying is that this vest has a total of six pockets.
